The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has finally confirmed Bashir Sheriff Machina as the authentic candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the Yobe Zone C Senatorial District.
The electoral body also disassociated itself from the emergence of Senate President Ahmed Lawan as the party’s candidate for the senatorial district.

2. Governor Ifeanyi Okowa Replies Critics

Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa has told his critics to come to Delta to assess the level of infrastructural development across the state.
The governor stated this on Friday while addressing newsmen after inspecting the ongoing projects at the Dennis Osadebey University, Asaba.
Okowa gave assurance that the university would wear a new look by December 2022, when the projects would have been completed.

According to a statement issued on Friday by his Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde, the two nominees have been forwarded to the State House of Assembly for screening, clearance and confirmation.
