Tonto Dikeh Joins Politics, Nominated As The Running Mate To A Governorship Candidate In Rivers

The Popular Nollywood Actress in Nigeria (Tonto Dikeh) has been working hard to make an impact in the society. She has been helping people through her Charity Foundation and she has granted a lot of scholarships to young women within the country.

Tonto Dikeh is among the people that advocate for ladies and she has been doing well over the last few years in making remarkable impacts within the society.

However, as a step further to her career, she was nominated to be the running mate of a Governorship candidate in Rivers State ahead of the 2023 elections in the state. The candidate of ADC (African Democratic Congress) in the forthcoming Rivers Governorship election (Tonte Ibraye) nominated Tonto Dikeh to be his running mate.

The popular Actress revealed this information via her official Instagram account on Friday (24th June, 2022). She promised to invest massively on social protection, create a social value system for young people and increase women inclusion in the government.

A federal high court sitting in Abakiliki, Ebonyi State capital has disqualified the governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. David Umahi and his younger brother, Chief Austin Umahi from contesting the senatorial election as the candidate of the  All Progressives Congress (APC) for Ebonyi South, GRASSROOT REPORTERS has gathered.
