Reactions As Peter Obi Went To Buy His Food Himself At A Restaurant In London


Frontline presidential aspirant, Peter Obi, was pictured buying food at a Lebanese kebab shop in London, the United Kingdom.

Obi, who is running for president of Nigeria on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), travelled to the United Kingdom a few days ago.

The former governor of Anambra State attended a business meeting at Number 10 Downing Street, which is the seat of power in the United Kingdom, on Monday, May 23, 2022.

According to his media team, Obi went to buy his food himself after the meeting.

The statement released on Peter Obi's Support Network says, "Yesterday, after attending a business meeting at No. 10 Downing Street, London, @PeterObi walked to a Lebanese kebab shop near his hotel to buy and pay for his food himself. "No pretensions, he lives a simple life like that of every one of us."

The pictures have generated a lot of reactions on social media. Many users said it is a campaign strategy, while others said Obi is naturally humble.
