Why we are yet to take action on Umahi's sack - INEC

 Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has explained why it has yet to take any action on the court judgment which ordered the sack of Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, and his deputy, Eric Igwe.

In a statement on Thursday, Mr Festus Okoye said the electoral umpire does not want to rush to make a decision amid the multiple litigations that have emerged.

Breaking: Wike declares for presidency

Rivers State Governor, Nyeson Wike has declared his intention to contest the 2023 presidential election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) saying he is the best man to wrest power from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). 2023: PDP mocks APC, says ‘Our National Convention going ahead as scheduled

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has said it’s Special National Convention/ Presidential primary will go ahead today (Saturday) as scheduled. The party said its attention had been drawn to speculations from “some strange quarters“ that it has postponed its 2022 National Convention holding today, Saturday, May 28, 2022. National Publicity Secretary of the party, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, said this in a statement he signed in Abuja.
