Hypertension is an health condition that occurs when the pressure in your arteries is above normal range. Genetics, diet and other factors could be linked to hypertension.There are different causes of hypertension and it could affect anybody. An online health site, Clevelandclinic shared an article on the type of foods people with hypertension should eat and those they should limit.

1. Calcium packed foods-

Skim milk, Greek yoghurt and normal yogurt.

2. Lean meat.

3. Chicken and turkey.

4. Fresh fruit and leafy green vegetables like cabbage, spinach, lettuce, kale, mustard greens and others. Avoid eating fruits and vegetables with added salt.

5. Colored vegetables.

6. Unsalted Pumpkin, squash and sunflower seeds.

7. Unsalted nuts like cashew nuts, almond and others.

8. Potatoes and plain rice.

1. Fatty meats like pork or beef.

2. Butter and margarine.


3. Fried foods like french fries, doughnut and others.

4. Canned soup.

5. Fast foods like pizza, hotdog, hamburger and ice cream.
