A business mogul, Mr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, on Sunday emerged winner of a factional gubernatorial primary election of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ebonyi State. The election took place at the Party’s secretariat located along Abakaliki/Enugu expressway of the State. Odii hails from Onitcha Local government Area of Ebonyi State, same Ebonyi South senatorial zone with the Governor of the State, Chief David Umahi, who is currently serving out his 8 years tenure. Odii was declared winner by the gubernatorial committee chairman for Ebonyi State, Mr. Rotimi Olaleken. He narrated that Odii polled a total of 349 votes to defeat his closest rival, Mr. Chris Usulor who scored 9 votes. Others, Mr. Sylvester Ogbaga, a fourth term member of the House of Representatives got 1 vote, Chukwuma Nwazunku who is also a member of the House of Representatives got 1 vote.
