Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 election’s, Mr Peter Obi made a surprise visit to Maiduguri on Thursday.

Obi was sighted among congregation at St Patrick Catholic Church during the episopal ordination of the Maiduguri auxiliary bishop.

Obi however declined to comment, saying he came only to attend the ordination of the bishop...read more

Breaking: Wike declares for presidency

Rivers State Governor, Nyeson Wike has declared his intention to contest the 2023 presidential election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) saying he is the best man to wrest power from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Wike who stated this when he visited his Benue State counterpart, Samuel Ortom at the Government House in Makurdi, the Benue State capital on Sunday said he was making his intention to contest for presidency known for the first time in Benue. “To remove APC from power, I’m the person who can tell them enough is enough. 2023: PDP mocks APC, says ‘Our National Convention going ahead as scheduled

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has said it’s Special National Convention/ Presidential primary will go ahead today (Saturday) as scheduled. The party said its attention had been drawn to speculations from “some strange quarters“ that it has postponed its 2022 National Convention holding today, Saturday, May 28, 2022. National Publicity Secretary of the party, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, said this in a statement he signed in Abuja.
